Redwood 5311R - fanless Embedded PC with Intel i7 CPU of the second generation!

IPC2U presents the Embedded PC Redwood 5311R. Despite of its fanless design the PC can be equipped with high-performance Quad Core CPU Intel i7 CPU or with Dual Core i5/i3 CPU of the second generation. In connection with up to 16GB DDR3 RAM the computer is particularly suitable for deployment in Digital Signage or for complicated computing. For Digital Signage there is Intel HD Graphics with a Clear Video Technology available, allowing cristal clear and sharp pictures. Dual independent screens can be connected over DVI + VGA or DVI + LVDS (optional) or VGA + LVDS (optional).

Furthermore, the Redwood has versatile interfaces such as 2x Gbit LAN, 5x COM and 6x USB.
Wake-on LAN allows the switch in of the PC via remote control.
To ensure system reliability there is an Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), that allows remote control and repair of the system. As this technology is based on the chip level, work can be done also if the computer is switched off or the operating system is defect. Moreover, a Watchdog Timer (WDT) makes automatic reset of the system if it is down.

The system is energy efficient because of support for S1, S2 and S4 modules for switching off the unloaded processor cores.
For data storage 2x 2.5“ SATA Drive Bay are available, which support RAID 0,1. Thus reading speed and storage security of the data can be increased. For other storage opportunities there is a Compact Flash slot as well as eSATA interface to connect an external SATA HDD.
If needed, the PC can be extended via PCIe x16.
The computer is to be used with different operating systems such as Windows XP Professional/Embedded or 7 as well as Linux and thus is very flexible.
The Redwood 5311R works within the extended temperature range between -30°C  and +55°C with the i7 CPU or between -30°C and +60°C with i5/i3 CPU.

The Redwood 5311R can be used for factory automation, process visualisation and surveillance.
